Re-cap of the Annual Honor Wall Dedication Ceremony May 23, 2026

It was a dark and gloomy day – but despite the rain, wind, and cold, the Dedication Ceremony at the Park was as stirring and memorable as ever! A large crowd gathered for the solemn ceremony honoring our veterans, and to hear the 56 new names added to the Honor Wall in the past few months. The Honor Wall, the focus of the Park at the edge of the Circle of Flags, displays the names of over 350 veterans that have served their country and been a part of keeping America safe.

The other big part of the day on May 23 was the Fifth Annual Car Show – the rainy weather contributed to a fewer number of cars displayed this year – 32 – but those that appeared were awesome! The winner of Best of Show was Jack Malovrh of Wakefield, Michigan, shown here with his 1957 Chevy.

Visitors were able to see the changes that have happened over the past year at the Across The Pond Veterans Park – another new sculpture added, walking trails updated, and the newly opened 15 camping sites! Every accomplishment at the Park has been possible through donations, grants and volunteers – we are so fortunate to be supported by so many.
